OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOOD, Installation, mixed media, 40’ x 27’ x 5’, Rogue Gallery, Medford, OR 2003
The title for this installation was borrowed from the well-known children’s song, which suggests a picturesque Currier and Ives holiday, reminiscent of 19th century America. In this dark turn on the traditional song, three young girls stare from passport photos at a landscape adrift, surrounded by a flotsam of domestic debris, and images of deer being pursued by wolves.
