MUTE, 12’ x 14’ x 60’, video projection, cast wax mason jars, Ohio University Art Gallery 2005

MUTE reflects my interest in psychological topographies. Video close-ups of male and female hands making slow, repetitive movements on the body can be read in much the same way one might read the sky for signs of impending weather. The moving images and the field of empty objects affect the sensibilities of silent film, a muted world in black, white and grey.
